Roadworthy publishes plain-English guides about tyres and car batteries. Many drivers buy these two items with very little information, and a wrong choice can cost money or safety. Our aim is to give you enough knowledge to ask the right questions and check what you are being sold.

How we write

We explain one topic at a time, use figures you can verify, and say so when advice depends on your car or conditions. We point you to your owner's manual and a qualified mechanic when a decision needs one.

What we are not

We are not a replacement for a professional inspection. Every vehicle is different, so always follow your car maker's specifications.
